Default eBay / Eagle Eye / red/clear LED tail light review

So I know that a couple of threads already exist on these tail lights, but I just wanted to post up a review for anyone looking for a reputable buyer to buy these tail lights from.

I got them on eBay, from seller idol168.

What compelled me to write this review was the shipping/packaging. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves first.

As you can see, very well packaged and protected. They included the harness adapters and a set of turn signal bulbs as well. For the record, I have an 08, and I used the harness without having to splice any wiring.

The LED tails themselves are great. One thing to note is that the screws for the inner tails are too long, so when you screw the plastic cap back onto them to tighten the light against the trunk, the cap will break open on one end. Other than that, I had no other issues. If a request is made, I can take a picture of what I just described.

Happy buying!

I have these on my car. The fitment is good but not perfect (I'd say like 95%).

aren't aftermarket LED tails usually significantly dimmer than OEM LED tails?

The LEDs are much smaller than the OEM ones for sure.

Fitment is perfect, if you don't take into account the fact that you have to damage the screw on caps for the inner trunk lights.

Yes the only difference is the look (red/white vs red/amber) and the number and size of LEDs. There is a difference in intensity.. I think the aftermarket LED tails are slightly dimmer, but I did test them to see if there is a noticeable difference when your foot is on the brake and when its not, and they light up perfectly well, even in direct sunlight.

I'll get more pics later, including a night shot.

If you add me on Vine, I did a quick comparison video. @sm1ke

Can we see a pic about what you're describing here? Does this cause any permanent damage to the car?

Also, I remember reading that the shade of red is a little brighter than oem.... Can you confirm?
