'06 DRL's: Super Lame
After putting HID's in my low beams and fogs I wanted the DRL's to match so I got some 6000k halogens. I figured there was no need for HID DRL's but I wanted them to look better than the yellowish halogen look so I got some 6000k halogens but they still looked very yellow, and not cool DRL yellow, weak halogen yellow. What I figured out was that they are the same bulbs as the high beams but only seem to get half voltage when running as DRL's. Is there some sort of mod to give them full voltage all the time or leave them off in the daytime without disabling the high beams.

You can ask your dealer to disable the DRL function (YMMV) when you get a service done or
If you can some how get access to techstream and the cable (you can do a search and find some info) you can disable the DRL function while maintaining the high-beam capability.

They will not be brighter than your low beams, I had them before to match my HIDs but decided to swap them out and just disable my DRL because I wanted to keep my high beams.
