Default Aux audio issues - need help

So in my wifes 2007 IS, I have her sat radio plugged into the aux audio input in the center console, and other than a little audible engine whine, it works fine. The problem is that when we plug in my iPod or her iPhone, we can't get any audio to play through the stereo. In fact the stereo won't even switch into aux mode when these things are plugged in. I have tried three different cables, with the same result every time. Can anyone help??

There is a TSB to repair the whining noise.

No idea about your main issue though... Never heard of that before.
