So lately my wifes IS seems to be shifting differently, holding in gears to higher RPMs, shifting a lot while on back roads, and even possibly skipping gears. Anyone have anything similar happen to their cars? Thanks for any help you can provide!

 

Just trying to rule out the obvious issues first... is ECT PWR on?

 

i recently had transmission work done on my car (2008 is250), so i feel your annoyance.

the transmission solenoid and torque converter were replaced due to harsh lower gear shifting.

 

Honestly it just sounds to me like the ect power button is on.. nothing wrong with that. Try switching it off and see if that helps. Good luck
