Default TPMS cost new vs. used

since the tire shop wanted $350 to swap TPMS from OEM 18" wheels into 20" wheels i have decided to just order a set of new TPMS.

where have people found the best deal on a new set of 4 TPMS?

if buying used, what is a fair price for a used set of 4 and is there anything i should look at if shopping used such as how long they've been in use, etc.

thanks!

I normally see a set of TPMS for ~$100 in the classifieds. Check ebay as well

Yup, just keep an eye out here... or eBay always has some. I have seen sets of 4 going for around $100 as well.

Almost positive this is what I bought. I think you might need the nuts to go with it which is like 8 bucks a wheel or something.

$350 to swap them from stock to your new wheels!!! that is crazy!!!! I paid no where near that to swap when my wheels where installed. Check a couple other shops just to see what they say about pricing about taking them out.

yea it was ridiculous. if i wanted the tires remounted to all 8 wheels after the sensors were swapped the grand total was $350. i laughed when he handed me the quote and walked out.

thanks for the guidance everyone.

Recently bought (4) tpms sensors for my car on Ebay. Got all four for $100 shipped without nuts/hardware. I bought nuts for the sensors at a local auto shop for about $20.
