Default Car seats

So with just 1 car seat, I've had no issues with the small size of the IS. We recently found out we are pregnant again and I will be needing another. The current seat I have is a Recaro and will only fit in the middle. Does another with experience have recommendations on car seats that can actually fit on the sides buckled in? Thanks.

Are either of them rear facing?

I also have 2 little ones in car seats in my IS350. For an infant car seat I used the Graco Snugride which easily fits in the side seats. It does take a lot of room rear facing though so I put it behind the passenger seat as you have to move the front seat up quite a bit to make it fit. I am tall so I couldn't drive with it rear facing behind me. Once you are front facing there is plenty of room.

My kids have outgrown those now so I have 2 Britax Roundabout 55 seat in the car now. They are on the smaller size and there is plenty of room for them.

PERFECT! This is exactly what I was looking for. The 14 months old is in a front facing already so I only need one rear that I can stick behind the passenger. With miss the recaro seats though,

Not sure about the state law in TX but the California Highway Patrol recommends to use rear facing carseats until age 2.......

Congrats! Funny you posted this because I have my first child on the way. Been wanting to get him/her a Recaro baby seat. Where do you get yours?

Oh man, it's was 2 years ago. I just ordered it online, I think amazon. Fair warning, its bulky. I and a fellow IS owner with one as well could only mount it in the middle which Lexus does not recommend.

May be if we all give birth to dwarfs. Not a chance a 2 year old would fit rear facing without being crunched up into a little ball. Hell I could bairly get to 1 before they didn't fit rear facing.

We had the Peg Perego Pliko p3, had to have it rear facing on the passenger side because it forced us to basically have the seat all the way up, and the base was too flat to be stable sitting on the hump in the middle. Everything gets much easier once you can have the seat forward facing.
