I have been looking on ebay for spoilers, lips, ect, and have come across a lot of items that are poly urethane black. I have an obsidian black IS. I assume if I purchased one of these items that I would need to paint it, but just wanted to make sure. 50 buck for a trunk spoiler is good deal, but factoring in painting it and the install, I just want to get a good idea of how much I would need to spend to make it match my car exactly.

 

If it says it is unpainted poly urethane black then it will be a weird matte black like color. If it says its painted black then if might match but there is always a chance if will be off a little. I bought a roof spoiler from ebay and it matched my obsidian car perfect. Black is usualy safe its colors like SFP and such that are hard to match!

 

I think it really depends on the seller. I know that OEM thing sells painted roof spoilers on ebay and most members say that the paint matches for the most part.

 

What bob said, you should also look for that seller OEMthing on ebay as they also sell replica OEM spoilers already painted.

I can tell from first hand experience that their 212 color code matches spot on as I just purchased a roof spoiler from them about a month ago.

 

buy from oem.thing, they have good colour match, good fitment, and good price

If it says polyurethane black its not usually painted - it just comes in a black colored polyurethane form.

I'm gonna vote for getting items pre-painted from OEM.Thing as well. I had a great experience with them and a lot of members have ordered thru them on eBay.
