Default hypothetical question for 6MT owners: "Push Start" your IS

Remember the oldschool way of "push starting" the MT cars?

I wonder if it worked for the IS.......

And yes, I know the steering wheel is electronically locked.......

You need enough power for the smart key system to get to the "On" position, once there, yes you can push start it.

That's good to know, hope I don't need to use it one day though. Pretty embarrassing to be seen push starting a Lexus lol...

I've done it many times since I don't drive my car much. Still works the same way as way back then!

As long as you can get the car into the "On" position with the key you can absolutely get it to kick back on with enough momentum. I had my older IS cut off while cruising in neutral on the highway and had to kick it back on this way.

Yes you can push start it and just like any manual gearbox car it will need enough juice to power the ignition system.

Ohh i know this from experience as my battery was on its way out just as I had my accident on my 6MT.
