3M headlight restorer

Default 3M headlight restorer

I was just wondering how many times i could use 3m headlight restorer before it does any damGe to the headlight if any??

Disadvantage of 3M kit is that it does not include the sealant, so headlights will haze again after a while. I would recommend buying some sealant or another kit which includes sealant. It will last much longer.

The answer to your question is relative. It depends on how much plastic you sand off each time, but I would not worry about that.

I just did this on three sets of cars (Nissan Frontier, Honda Accord, my IS350) just this past weekend.

Best kit in my opinion is the Meguiar's Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration kit: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_2-stp-headlight-restoration-kit-meguiar's_10048582-p?searchTerm=headlight+restoration

Just follow the included instructions, and make sure to use a CORDED drill, no cordless.

You'll be glad you did.

I wasn't impressed with the 3M kit, maybe the reason is that I did use a cordless drill.

Either way I would agree on finding a kit that includes sealant, whatever progress I did make was gone after a few months.
