Hi all!
So I purchased my car in February used lexus is 2008. One of my good friends is a lexus dealer so he looked up the factory specs for me. On the factory specs sheet it says lexus DVD navigation. Nothing about mark levinson sound system. Maybe I'm asking a stupid question but is the DVD referring to the navigation system or the fact that you are able to watch DVDs? Sorry I'm such a noob! Help a chick out
If you dont have ML then you cant play DVD Movies, they are talking about a hidden DVD slot thats behind the digital clock. You can remove that bit and gain access to replace the DVD that holds the nav data.

These two hit the nail on the head for your questions. I've updated my navigation maps to reflect a bridge that was built a few years back when I got my car.

The unit you purchased most likely uses an SD card for the Maps. The DVD option is for OEM navigation before Lexus made the switch to harddrives.
I'm curretly at work and your hosting site is blocked here. I'll take a look at it when I get home and tell you the location. However if it's anything like my Flyaudio unit it would behiend the "AV IN" which is a cover and should have a spot you can pull at with your finger nail.
