Default curb rash fix

Whats up CL,
Just wanted to post up some pics of my curb rash repair.
The damage was on the front passenger side wheel.
This is is my first attempt at fixing a damaged part such as this an i gotta say the results are better than i expected.
What do you guys think?
Btw, I spent the last week searching for the oem touch up paint for the wheels but had no luck
but anyway I think the color match on the wheel looks pretty good.

Here she is freshly washed enjoy-

hi Griiix,
I'm glad i figured out how to do this because it was buggin me, especially since I've only had the car for a month lol

Well anyway I went to home depot and picked up a steel stick by JB weld,(i guess it would compare to body filler for different types of metals) strong and durable.

the stuff is pretty easy to use just cut a good amount of the stick that you would need and spot fill the damaged area (after cleaning and sanding)....let it dry, sand to a smooth even surface and then paint
hope that helps

Looks really good. I've been debating on taking mine to a wheel repair shop.

ill double check to be sure but its grey metallic from the duplicolor perfect match.
the match is just a hair darker than oem so if you can find one a little lighter you'd be good

the gash in my wheel was semi deep but i used 60 grit to get rid of any high protruding metal flakes
then straight to 400 grit (wet sand during both process)

paint supply is very limited out here on guam
but i picked up the paint at the local NAPA paint shop
they happen to be the only shop here that supplies duplicolor
on the duplicolor website theres a list of places to get the paint and autozone is there
hope that helps
