Clanging Noise from Rear Passenger Side Wheel
On my 2008 IS250 AWD, I have what sounds like a metal clanging noise which occurs with every revolution of the wheel. The noise seems to get louder when accelerating or turning right. The strange thing is, I have jacked the wheel up 3 different times to inspect and look for what's causing the issue, and all 3 times the noise has instantly gone away after putting the car back down. The noise will then rear its ugly head again after some period of weeks or months. Once it starts occurring again, it will continue indefinitely until I jack it up again. I'm perplexed as to what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I did inspect the exhaust and it seems to be stable. What is really confusing me is that jacking the wheel up fixes it for weeks or months.

Did u ever find out what the problem was? I have a similar situation!!
My Lexus 350
There is something that's come loose in one of my wheels. I thought I'd heard some clanging around in there a couple of weeks ago, but since I had my tires rotated it's loud!! What could have come loose that would make that nouse as well as give me a repair light? How much will it cost to fix?
Thanks!!
Julie
