Very late update to my "next mod" thread.... I finally got around to doing the red outs today and really like the way they look. I have the GFX rear ready for install and hope to get to it this Sunday...

Finally got around to doing the rear lip on my day off today! Took way longer than I thought it would and I got a late start as it was. I decided to go with the drill method (as I did on the front lip) as opposed to just using tape. It took forever, but I think it's worth it. Finished too late for any really good "after" pics, but here are a few teasers. I will take some better ones on my next day off and add them to the thread. Thanks again to everyone for their feedback and help!

Bare **** IS......

All done!

I have to say that I'm really pleased with the look. The only "knock" (IMO) is that the larger exhaust cut outs now seem to make my Tanabe tips look smaller than they did before. I have to think that this would look borderline ridiculous if you used the GFX tips that are supplied with the rear kit, as they are substantially smaller than what I have. I didn't get why they were angled until after I finished the install and saw how the lip was much further away from the tip on the inside than it was on the outside. Loving it for now and can't wait to see it in daylight!

And...... done! Here are some good pics of the car with the GFX and the red outs in place. Thanks again for everyone for chiming in on this thread. I know that I just posted some of these in the new "GFX" thread, so sorry for that. I love the black and white pic so I have to post it again here.

Really? I'm gonna change my screen name from "Slammer1" to "ThreadKiller"..... I post a pic and the thread goes straight to the bottom.... I finally got my rear lip done and couldn't wait to hear what you guys and gals thought. Gotta double post my own thread for opinions, I guess. Let me hear it, good or bad. Doesn't matter, just tell me something.

Fast forward two years and I've finally done a mod that isn't stereo related....... LOL. I always wanted to add a roof spoiler and really don't know why I didn't do it before now. Ordered one from OEM.Thing on eBay last week and it came yesterday morning. Color match of the 1G1 is damn near perfect and the fit was really pretty good. It didn't sit flush against the glass when you pressed down on one side but I used painter's tape to hold it in the hot sun when I installed it and it worked out just fine.

Here is a quick before pic.

Two pics with the tape on it while I wait as patiently as possible........

And a couple of pic with the tape removed.

I love the difference it makes already. Quite subtle, but works really well with the other stuff I've done.

I got this side skirt for my Is350. But want to drop first before paint and installation.

I like that a lot but not sure it would "flow" properly with the GFX, if you know what I mean.

Looking good.

Suggestion for next mod? Get rid of window visors.
