I wouldn't think you would have a "quality" issue with valve stem caps from eBay. They are simply there to keep dirt and debris from getting in the stem itself, and for cosmetics. I've never ever heard of a cheap or poorly made valve stem cap, honestly. I use regular caps simply because I know that teenage punks will steal any nice caps you try to put on your valve stems. No biggie really.
I recall reading somewhere that some aftermarket valve caps stuck on the valve stems, caused expensive repairs. Just don't remember where I read it now.
Don't use cheap plastic ones. Half the TPMS warnings arise from people using cheap plastic caps. Metal caps with an o-ring prevent additional air loss thru the valve stem.

I didnt have caps on my tpms stockers for about 2 month. Never had one warning light come on.
Uh, also keeps water and debris out of the valve stem (ie. corrosion). But hey, do whatever you want.
Lol, didnt say it was recommended. I just didnt give a crap cause they were coming off the car shortly. Im just saying that, if they are in good working condition, the air loss is very minimal when not using caps and any cheap plastic caps will do. Especially if the OP has a habit of losing them.

No don't use metal caps. The TPMS stems on the Lexus are aluminum and you may have a problem with dissimilar metals. See this thread:
