Default Another option besides bumper tap mod.

Hey, I recently had purchase a set of BC coilvers and Linea Corse Dyna. Front 19x8.5 30offset with 225 35 19, rear 19x10 43offset with 245 35 19. After installing these I notice that there is rubbing at the corner at the fender liner. I did reseach and used a heat gun to melt some of the plastic so it doesn't rub as much. After afew days I notice that there is a hole and now rubbing on the front bumper tabs. I did reearch and found many people did the front tab relocation. I was wondering what are other options?? (rather than raising up the car. )

The only other option I think is to remove the bumper tab from the bumper and install a quick release bumper mod.

I'm having the SAME problem as you and its irritating...

It's an easy fix that can be done for a couple of dollars, if you don't have the hardware.

Wish i knew somebody that is familiar with this mod, I'd love to see how its done but after staring at that picture in another post I am still confused. Guess i'll have to take off the bumper all over again and look at it again

Two options :

1) Remove current bolt/nut, cut/remove offending metal, drill new hole, affix together with new bolt/nut
2) Remove current bolt/nut, bend/hammer offending metal away, drill new hole, affix together with new bolt/nut

I cut that portion of the liner out and bent the metal tab upward and reattached the plastic portion of the tab to the metal portion of the bent tab with two zip ties. I plan on sealing the hole with something black. Just dont know with what yet. Maybe some thin black plastic on the back side that doesnt protrude as much. It doesnt rub but im not slammed.

kinda funny. i have same issue. with 235/35/19 in front. i have same wheels as you lowered on H&R springs. My front bumper tab doesnt just rub.. rubbing i can tolerate. my front bumper tab is literally grinding grooves into the rubber of the tire haha. its a grinding sound.

I will take pics and remove tab and and relocate it and all that good stuff. I have my own auto shop so i'll let the hop manager and mechanics figure it out ha. I'll get back to you guys ASAP.

You guys can try the Toxic Fab quick release bumper mount. My tab ripped through so I said screw it, and totally cut the tab off and bent the metal piece of the fender up to get it out of the way.
Relocated the mounted more forward to get out of the way of wheel travel.

My tires front are 255/35/18 and rear are 275/35/18

It's more permanent of a fix than fixing the tab each time it rips through.
