Put the f-sport sway bar on, you'll have a lot more fun around turns

regarding the fun of driving the car i think its all bought who's driving you can have a super car with a boring driver and its no fun drive it like you stole it and i think you may have some fun.
Speaking of driving like I stole it, I did take it to a mountain pass and I'm not gonna lie, handling is pretty good. It pulls quite a lot of G's and there's little body roll. The seats are quite supportive (not so much about the shoulder areas, but lumbar support is perfect). There's a little understeer under heavy throttle input on more hardcore corners however. And when i try to throw weight to the front and then oversteer it just won't because of the fat tires in the back. That's interesting, but it's kind of scary too. Ever experienced such a phenomenon?

Oh I'm thinking about putting the springs and the sway bars and the intake and the exhaust on too. The brakes are pretty good, however, do you have any clue if they will last for a while or will they start crumbling under heavy loads?

I'm considering ISF for when the lease is up (all of my friends are buying the lame M3s and the BS C63s so I would like to just shove it in their faces with a proper car). The reason I picked it up is cause I to get used to the car at first. Since ISF is basically based on the IS250/350, I thought I should practice on this car first.

Okay, maybe not an MP4-12C, I might need to save a little for that. But something like an IS-F would keep me content... For a little while. Lol. Just get a 350 or F when your lease is up.
Yeah I might get the F, I'll see how it goes.

It's mine for the next 2 years before I can trade it back in for a Lexus CT. Do some mod's and after that you will be a little more fun to drive lower, front grill, rims, sound system.
350z is a nice car I don't see why you would trade it in for IS lol, should have gotten something similar, such as 370 or g37. IS is nice too its very balanced, I just feel like it could be so much better. Oh well.

See that's what I don't get. Is the engine just so incapable or is it that no tuning company spent their time and money to develop a proper turbo kit or headers or cams and rods? It just doesn't make sense to me, if the car's 40k it should at least have a top notch engine capable of handling much more power than stock, that's my personal opinion. If the engine is capable, then it is probably because tuning companies didn't want to waste time.

True. I did take it around a mountain pass today and boy was it fun. Its just it won't kick the tail out, for some reason it just doesn't want to ( i know its the fat tires and the power lack combo but still). Oh well, thanks for your advice bro.

And to whoever said the IS is boring and dull to look at, why do you still own the car?
its not dull to look at (I'm not sure if I ever said that, however). The IS is not boring either, it's the 250 we're talking about. 350 and F are certainly fast I just wanted something within boundaries at first. Oh well, it's only two years.

You wouldn't want the tail to kick out on mountain passes/roads. Going downhill at the most controllable and legal speed possible you can still have fun and not waste your tires. Enjoy the smell of your brake pads after

I have a ton of fun in my IS250, but honestly it really depends what you want out of a car. I could never have the fun I have in my car with an IS250 Automatic, especially if it had the stock suspension.

Having a manual transmission, sport suspension, sway bars and the limited slip differential make for a pretty fun car, even if it is slow, I still love driving it every day.

Well see you were blessed with the manual tranny. Do you have any idea if the dealer would be willing to convert my car to manual? Before making myself look like an idiot to the dealership I thought I'd ask someone on the forums firsthand
