Default Roof Spoiler

Got a question for you guys running a roof spoiler. I bought a cf one and mounted it on my rear window using 3M molding tape and was wondering what you guys used because this tape holds just not sure how fast i'm able to go with it stuck solid. I hit 75 and it seemed fine, but you know there are those occasional days

3M double sided automotive tape (the red one). I think I used some adhesive bonder that came with the kit.

Other than that, what else can you use? It's not like you can screw it on

yea the tape I used was red, but didn't use any adhesive bonder. How fast have you hit with the spoiler on?

Probably around 100. I don't think you need to worry about it. I tug on mine and it feels like the glass will shatter before the spoiler will give way.

I believe 3m has 2 types, one for 5 lb weight and one for 15 lb weight. I got 2 friends with altimas and they used the 5lb and 15lb for their roof spoilers/wings and those have been on the car forever. I wouldn't worry about it, that thing isn't coming off on its own lol

You'll be fine with the 3M automotive tape, many people have been using it for their roof spoilers (me included) and have found no problems.

I used double sided automotive 3M tape and my roof spoiler isnt going anywhere. That 3M tape is also holding my friends trunk spoiler on his Accord and that thing is on tight.

You may also want to try loctite as reyoasian said. I heard its good too

As long as you use the right 3M red double sided tape (and apply it right) that sucker is not going ANYWHERE lol I've had mine on for about 2 years now, that thing still does not budge.
