In the trunk, the large orange and red wires going to the first plug in the factory stereo amp are constant 12V+. How much power is this accessory going to draw though?
I understand you need 12v. My question is how much power is that thing that you need 12v going to be pulling. If it's too much, you may be maxing out the circuit and risk blowing fuses.
