Default Cruise Control Not Turning "On"

My 2007 IS250 is not turning cruise control on at all. The cruise does not light up on the dash and I can't set a speed. Is there a fuse that could be burnt out? What are possible issues? I love my cruise control so I'd like to fix this ASAP. Thanks!

Do you have AT or MT? In my Toyota Corolla, my cruise will not set if I have my foot barely touching the clutch for my MT.

My cruise light comes on but even if I barely touch the clutch, it will not set. Your issue sounds a little different as you are not seeing cruise light illuminating when you turn it on. There is likely a fuse under the hood for cruise but I don't think I have ever heard of it blowing.

Hope you can figure it out soon. Good luck!

Jason

It's a 6MT. No foot on the clutch and I haven't heard of a cruise control fuse blowing either. I'll check it out when I get off work later though.

You have to press the button at the end of the stalk IN first, to get the "cruise" light to come on before pressing down to set the speed.

Just making sure you did that.

Not sure about the exact setup of the IS. But in most Japanese cars (like my old maxima) they have buttons in the brake pedal assembly that has a rubber plunger that pushes it. In the maxima these turned off the brake lights when the car was off and allowed cruise control to be enabled. The rubber plungers ended up dry rotting and falling apart and my cruise control stopped working. Easy cheep replacement

Thanks for the responses guys! isam and GiantsFan, sure am. I even read through the owner's manual to make sure I wasn't just being a moron.

Carlos, would the fuse be under the dash? I will check tonight.

Hoac, thank you! I will be checking that as well if it isn't a fuse.
