I just had my battery replaced a few weeks ago cause the car wasn't really getting power to crank over. After that, it turned over like a champ. Just this last Sunday I got in my car and all I heard was a "click click click click click." I figured it was the alternator and sure enough they said it was. The alternator was only charging at 11.5 instead of at least 14. They also had to put a new battery in again because they couldn't get it to hold a charge. After all is said and done, I notice a loss of power in the low end. When I turn my car on it idles at 500 RPM's. When driving it idles at 750 RPM's. Does anyone have an idea what the issue could be? I don't have any warning lights on and the only after market piece are my HID fogs & HID headlights. I stopped using my foglights about 4-5 months ago.
I would sugest to disconect your battery for 5 min. after that reconect it and turn the car on with all accessories off, no radio, no headlights nothing on and let it idle for about 5 min. After that do your normal driving and it should be back to normal.
Yeah I knew a throttle body would have to relearn but I didn't realize this would do the same thing. I will take all suggestions into consideration and give them all a shot. Thanks guys
