Default Paint Work lowering value?

I did a closer inspection of this 2009 CPO IS 250 that I would like to pick up and it looks like the two rear quarter panels were re-sprayed (Maybe just with clear) , but I'm going to take it to a body shop to get inspected. The dealer wouldn't do a paint check and give me the results but he let me take it home for the night to think about it so I'm going to take advantage and visit a local shop to giveme their opinion. Carfax is clean but I def notice a weird speckling of white paint in the rear quarters and the sand finishes just slightly off.

So my question is that if the panels were painted but there was no major accident, does it bring the value of the car down?

It is a 2009 with 36k miles CPO, NAV, Heated/Cooled seats, HID's for $25,900 . So I Think it's a great deal.

There have been members on here that have bought CPO that were in an accident. Good idea on going to a body shop.

It could be just a simple touch up, or it could be damaged repair with uni body damage. Carfax doesnt always pick up on frame damage or uni body. Frame or Uni body are the ones that will lower a cars value.

If there was no big accident and it was simply a respray, I'd still use it to get the price of the car down. If it was the result of an accident, I would just not buy the car.
