If you want to flare the rear quarter panels they'll work. Nobody with an IS has a - offset. The front will need a roll and pull too. I wouldn't force it.

Without any modding the max that'll fit in the front is a 8" wheel. I have a 19x8.5 in front now and there's a slight rub when I turn. As for the rear I was told the max is 10". I have a 19x9.5 now and the wheels I have coming next week are 20x10 in the rear so ill let u know how that feels once I get it on. But as Mariono said you'll need to flare those quarters. Nmpeter is the only member I've seen done it https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=595208

You can run a 9.5 width and not rub so 8 isn't a max.. It's more of the offset. There are member who ran 11.5 rear with high offset without fender mods again offset play a role. For the OP so with the 11 width you need camber in the rear, roll and a good pull. I run a 9.5+16 up front all was needed is a roll, pull, and tab relocated.

I'm running a 19x9.5+19 in the front and 19x11+22 in the rear and I have the fronts rolled and a slight pull, and the rears rolled and with pretty decent pull getting done right now.. I'm anxious to see you pull this off! Anything can fit on ANY car with the right modification.. and lots of money of course lol

you'll find that it won't be so funny when you get halfway there and realize that (one way or another) it's actually going to cost you money.

and there's a little saying that goes like this:

"if you want to play, you'll have to pay."

you can do whatever you want, go for it.

but just because you did it with your golf doesn't mean the same applies for the 2is.

btw, are you sure those proposed wheel specs have negative or positive offset?

reason being, if it's positive offset, you can still make them work (albeit barely). if it's negative offset, forget about it.

I think it's just et dash 11. I hope he didn't mean negative 11 cause then your looking at major body work.

yeh sorry just dash, its +11

and i'm not saying because i done it with the golf it will work on the golf, i'm saying i done the fit it before asking what would work and i really dont want to have to spend a fortune on arches and arch repair work but i still want wide wheels but as you said "if you want to play, you have to pay"
