I am having this exact same issue in my 06' is350 w/ ML sound. unfortunetly, my car is out of factory warranty. When speaking to my service advisor this mornign, she informs me to replace the AMP, I could possibly be looking at approx $990 for parts alone. Needles to say, I am a little concerned. Has anyone else seen real world alternetives, or trouble shooting advice?

if thats the case you know you can get a better aftermarket amp for half the cost...

$900 for an amp? Thats ridiculous. I got my aftermarket amp to power my sub for $250.

Thank you for the advice. Being the Mark Levinson souns system, I didnt know if an aftermarket amp would work, or what settings it would need to have. I actually work for a large electronics distributor, that offers alot of 12v audio amplifiers, but didnt know if someone knew exactly what specs i would need to look for. thanks for the info, as I am also trying to research as much as I can online. However, my searches as of right now are fruitless.

Yeah, a $250 off the shelf amp isn't going to plug in and correctly power the 14 8-ohm speakers of the ML system though (nor integrate properly with the head unit for 7.1 DVD playback and all the other controls)
