Helly guys, sorry for the long delay, but my computer broke.
I wanted to give you an update. I put my old radio unit back again, because the chinese manufacturer thonzer is not answering any more and I doubt that there will be more support from them. Ok they have new years and maybe will answer couple days later. I don`t know.

I took one more try to improve the quality and volume of the internal sources: I bought this preamp (pic below) and raised the volume (I powered it from the cigarette lighter).



Together with an EQ app the sound was very good and loud again. But there was a pretty disturbing hiqh frequency noise in the background now that f***ed me up. The Preamp was another 120€. I didnt want to buy an additional noise cancelling filter then any more because all this became too much work and too much dissapointment and too much issues anyway and i decided to send all this stuff back and make a cut.

Btw. I let a Lexus garage measure the airbag-control light issue and the told me that it seems like the chinese simply forgot the airbag on/off light in their unit so the connection is lost there.

And I discovered another issue: The chinese guys switched the functionality of this air circulation-/recycling button or how you say it in english. If you push "fresh air", it was closed instead

So sorry guys, I think I am done with this expensive experiment (i also scratched the cover of the cigarette lighter = 50€ and i scratched the leather shifter badly =120€ new original part).

Does anyone of you have one of this thonzer units now as well?

 

Looks like they really messed up the audio.

I remember someone mentioned that you may be able to put a resistor in there for the airbag light to go away. I think air circulation functionality sounds OK from what you described. The cover to the air filter closes when you put the air to fresh-air mode.

meanwhile the only interface language is Chinese

The gap is for the older is models.. there is pics in the web with the newer version with no gap
