I bought mine from lsq and mine has the mic built in! But I hear the flyaudio ones u have to mount them some where

So I just connected the unit but didn't mount anything just to test it out. Initial impressions:
1) The navi won't find any GPS satellites at all. I even backed out of my garage and still no luck. I placed the gps receiver in the speaker cover area in the middle of the front dash. Not sure what to do here but will play with it some more.
2) There is a soft spot on the touch screen meaning if I take my finger or the stylus and push it, it compresses a little. Other parts of the screen are hard with no soft spots. Bothered me at first but it doesn't seem to affect the touch screen which I might add seems to take a lot of pressure to select something with a finger. When I use the stylus it doesn't take a lot but it could also be that I'm so use to my touch screen on the cell phone and how sensitive it is. Any else notice it takes a little force to select something on the touch screen?
3) I trimmed damn near all tabs/plastic off the bottom of the navi unit to make it sit completely flush with the CD changer. At first I followed the picture posted in this thread exactly as he laid it out but unfortunately for me it wouldn't sit flush.
4) I was able to make a bluetooth call to my wife to test it out and it worked fine. I tried playing some music via bluetooth from my phone as I was streaming it from youtube and the sound was horrible. The speakers were scratchy. It sounded fine from the radio though so not sure what the deal is here.
I am going to attempt to install the back-up camera now. To be honest, next time I will just buy a vehicle with Navi in it. lol But for $560 bucks I can't complain. I will update more when I finish.

Ok another update after attempting to install the back-up camera supplied by the navi company. This is the camera that replaces the license plate light. Well after removing the trunk liner and messing around with everything, it turns out you have to do a lot more work than removing the liner and loosening the screws to the license plate light. So for now I've decided to not put in the back-up camera and I'll be finishing up the install this evening.
If anyone has any pics of there back-ups cameras and some instructions I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to attempt it something.

[QUOTE=jtwenger;7747565]I just ordered this back-up camera. Can the OP or anyone who has installed something similar provide a little detail on how to install...mainly the drilling into the trunk which I'm terrified of because I don't want to ruin it! Did you buy a hole-saw bit? Thanks!

I am trying to wire the back-up camera and came across a problem. There is the yellow RCA cable from the back-up camera that connects to the wiring of the navi unit which I get but there is also this red wire that is attached the the yellow RCA cable from the camera that I don't know where it goes. I have instructions but they must be old as there is no red wire mentioned. I do have the blue "reverse" wire that I'm suppose to run from the unit to the back-up camera and splice into the rear light positive wire. I'm thinking I can take the blue wire and connect it to this red wire and that should be ok? Or maybe I have to run a separate wire that goes from the blue wire to the rear of the car and splice it into the car's reverse positive wiring? Help! I've attached a picture for reference. Thanks!

In this picture I will only be using the blue "REVERSE" wire and the yellow RCA "CCD" wire for the back-up camera. Is this correct?

In this picture I will just be using the "BRAKE" wire correct? I will be installing a back-up camera but it seems to me the grey CCD wire shown in this picture isn't used for the back-up camera.
Thanks!

The pink wire is for DVD, if you ground that wire you can watch movies while driving.

I had the same questions, resolved in the last post of this thread: Originally Posted by JC08IS250

Here are the specs I was given for the digital TV tuner.
Compliant with DVB-T standards
Support exchange between formats,TimeShift,With record function
Twin tuners with diversity structure TV box for high speed driving
Frequency Range:VHF-H:174~230Mhz UHF:470~862Mhz
Special design for car using, support high speed above 160km/hours
Video decoder MPEG-4/H.264/AVC
Audio decoder MPEG/AAC/ PCM
DVB subtitling ETSI 300473 compliant and OSD teletext
I don't have a clue what all this means.
Also the bonroad rep stated this "It includes the Primo navigation software for test." Not sure what she means I thought most received the Primo software on an SD card?

Yeah I have no idea how to hook up this TV Tuner box so I will just be putting it to the side for now. I ended up not needing the external mic since this unit has a mic built in. Still can't get the navi to find any satellites so this has me worried. I remember reading somewhere in this thread of a member having a hard time as well so I will look that up and try his solution.Originally Posted by tenaciousF

JC08IS250 did you specifically order the digital TV tuner or did it just happen to be in the box? I was told it is a $77 option. I don't know if it works while the car is moving or any other details. Maybe you could be the guinea pig before I order mine?

It just came in the box, guess I got lucky. I'm just not sure how to hook it up or else I would and I can't seem to find any instructions. If you can point me to some I would gladly test it out. It came with the tuner box and a big wire harness.Originally Posted by tenaciousF

Just another update, I was able to get the back-up camera working properly by connecting the red wire and the blue wire so now the camera will come on automatically once I shift into reverse. I will be waiting for my new camera to come from Amazon sometime next week.
I put the GPS receiver on the roof and drove around and it still won't lock onto any satellites! Does anyone know how to fix this? Really a bummer. =(

Can anyone help me locate this D2280 folder I keep reading about? I pop my SD card into my computer and only folder I see if the Primo navi folder. When I pop the sd card into the unit in the car I only see the same thing and nothing labled D2280. Am I missing this folder and that could be the cause of why my GPS doesn't work?
