Default '08 IS250 question about headlights

Hey CL, I'm brand new to the forum and owning an IS and I was hoping I could get some help with my '08 IS250. I recently tried to replace the headlights with 8000k HID's and followed many of the DIY forum posts, until I came to a small problem. The connection from my car to the headlamp looks completely different then many of the examples online and I was hoping someone at CL could help me figure out if I need a different type of HID, a completely new headlight system, or worse.

The first picture is what I found behind the dust cover and the second is what the connection to the headlamp and the main wire looks like.

Thank you for any help I can receive.

I bought an H11 kit from xenonsupply.com. Other DIY posts and videos I've seen have a connection to the headlight that is black and has the positive and negative wires split separately...

you have purchase an aftermarket HID Kits which won't fit your car, Your Cars Come with HID equipt so all you need to purchase are " 8000K D4S HID bulb only " search is your friends...

I think 6000k should be the highest you go on Bulb K ratings...you get the bluish tint but not sacrificing too much light output.

You just push on that retaining clip and it unhooks. Unless you're talking about the plug, you rotate it then pull towards you.

That's assuming he's staying with the same quality of bulbs as oem and it doesn't look like he is.

Even if he is going with an aftermarket bulb, I still believe 6000k should be the highest he should go...around 5000k would be ideal. But it's still up to him.
