Hey guys im new at this and i just recently purchased a 07 IS350 and i was just wondering if there were any mods i can make to the car like a super charger maybe or like a chip? I know that bmw has a chip for their 3 series, does lexus have that for their IS? And anything else i can do to make the car faster? new intake exhaust etc...?

2000?

The cheapest retail supercharger ever offered for the IS350 new ran about $6000 and isn't even available anymore. And only added about 40-50 hp in stock form.

If you bought this car to mod for power you bought the wrong car.

Intake, full exhaust and headers that's it. Your 350 is plenty fast as is. Focus rather on making it look sexy

Your options:

Intake:
$125-$400 depending on brand (Joe Z is the best bang/buck here)- 5 hp

headers:
Note: these are illegal in all 50 US states
PPE is the only ones worth discussing, $750-1000 depending on options, cost to install, etc
10-15 hp depending which dyno you believe

Exhaust:
a ton of options here.... all the legal ones (the axle-backs) add around 7 hp for prices ranging from $200-300 for Ebay specials to $600-700 for the cheapest high quality ones (Tanabe) to $1200 and up for the overpriced loud ones (F-sport )

Illegal ones add closer to 10 hp (by removing the rear cats and adding a mid-pipe type piece) and pricing here runs from $1000-1500 (Joe Z again has a great offering in this category)

You'll note this is 25-30 hp tops, going with all the illegal options... or 12 hp tops legally.... with costs ranging from almost $3000 at the high end of illegal down to $325 for the low end of legal.

If you want more than that you can do nitrous, which is also illegal on public roads and only adds power while it's running.... probably 1500-2000 can get you a fairly foolproof setup unlikely to destroy the engine and you can run at least a 65 shot safely on pump gas (at least 85 on race gas)

Oh, you can also do a piggyback ECU setup... $750-1500 if you can do all your own install and tune work, more if not.... a MAPECU3 or HKS F-con Pro are the two others have done.

Naturally aspirated you're looking at maybe 10 hp from that.... I think potentially you could run a bit more nitrous safer with this too.

Last is a supercharger... but honestly just get an IS-F instead unless you can do all your own work and get a really good deal on a cheap used kit or something (even then you're probably going to spend as much as the 350->F premium and get inferior results)

Go back to the dealer and trade it in for an F. This is your best bang for your buck

As rare as they are, you can pick up a used Supercharger kit for far less than $6k. MikeLlucci may be selling his custom setup since he may be upgrading to an F. I bought a used LMS kit for half the $6k price tag, but the blower needed to be rebuilt so it's still off at ATI Procharger waiting to be inspected and rebuilt. They take foreverrrr! Yes theyre pricey but so is everything for this car, dont let everyone deter you if thats what you want to do.
