Default Mod Recommendations

Hey guys,

Here is a pic of my stock IS250. What mods should I put on it to make it stand out?

Here are my thoughts:

1. Paint or Power-coat the rims a dark grey (which one should I do?)
2. Painted Lug nuts (not sure which color yet)
3. Blacking out the emblems on the front and back (or keep chrome, hard decision)
4. Light smoking of the head/tail lights
5. White LED strips on headlights (not sure if that is possible because of the seal)
6. LED Foot lights near my pedals and passenger side as well (blue)

Also would love recommendations on engine performance upgrades that wont cost me an arm and a leg.

Thanks.

all you need is a drop and red outs on your taillights.

THIS

redouts are like 10-15 bucks on ebay

plus look into the FSport style front grill to change the look

please dont tint or do anything to those headlights

Performance mods...you have a 250...you dont have much hope in the performance side of things, that's gonna cost you an arm and a leg

If your looking for performance mods, trade in your 250 for a 350 or an F. Nothing will get you as much horsepower for the money as upgrading.

I never knew red outs would drastically change the appeal of the car. Maybe I just need to get some and try them out to see for myself.

Also, where would be the best place to shop for body parts for the car? (referring to the sport grill)

what about painting/coating the rims a darker color? Im not a huge fan of the light color these stock ones have. Also, do you have a pic of a dropped IS that looks good?

You can get the F-Sport style or IS-F style grill from ebay for around 65-85 shipped. Quality and fitment is pretty good. A drop on some springs or coilovers and some sway bars would be a good start. As well as a simple add-on lip kit like GFX would do wonders. Good luck and let the mods begin.
