Not from the inside, but only the outside. Outside is a easy fix Never heard from the inside .

Post pics... I'm sure it gotta be on the outside but it just looks that way. If not then you have to take them apart then buff them

Bought a used headlight a few years ago. It did not have back covers. I figured no need for them.
Now I regret not buying back covers then. Yes, the inside got kind of yellow because dust and humididty got inside. There is a three year old dead insect in there too.
Do yours have back covers or have they been modified in any way that there may be an opening letting mosture/dust in them? That may be the reason for the yellowing inside of headlight.

mine seem to be yellowing on the inside also as the outside is clear and clean. it's very noticable when it's cloudy out.

Mines yellowing/misty in the inside a bit. Tried a headlight restoration kit so I know its inside.

I have to bake it in the oven and take off the front cover to clean it?

Old thread... but, if the yellowing is inside the lens and not outside, you'll have to open the headlights up and do a refinish (would also highly advise a UV-resistant clear coat applied after refinishing). Might be better off just buying a new set of lights though.

Did anyone actually bake open their headlight and polish the inside?

I'm looking for before and after pics.

Don't have pictures but I've done it. I painted both the inside and outside with 2K clear.

If you are taking them apart you know that you can buy new plastic lenses for them, right?

I have another lexus model, and for my car, new lenses cost about as much as a whole new headlight assembly.

so I want to see if polishing will help.

Since my car has been parked outside for 21 years in socal, the headlights are milky and slightly yellow even after sanding and polishing.

I'm not sure if I have to sand more from the outside, or if the inside is damaged, or if the full thickness of the polycarbonate is just not super clear anymore
