The gas pedal is not physically connected to anything else in the car, it's impossible for it to "go up and down" by itself.

It's not like older cars where there's a physical throttle cable to get stuck.

The only way the car even knows how far you pressed the pedal is via electronics. The car is drive by wire.

So I'm gonna have to call BS on your story since it's physically impossible.

That.... or ghosts. It could be ghosts.

No.

There is a recall, but it's entirely unnecessary if you are using the correct OEM floor mats correctly installed. (The recall notice itself even says this) and all it "fixes" is it replaces the pedal with a smaller one so it's less likely to get stuck on aftermarket/incorrectly installed floor mats, and adds a (useless) brake-override feature to the ECU.

Are you trying to tell us that the gas pedal physically went up and down by itself? Perhaps there's a language barrier here.

I'm guessing he means the engine RPMs are raising and lowering on their own... Not the pedal itself.
