Thumbs down Scratch? How to fix it?

So, I just found a huge eyesore on my rear bumper. Looks like a scratch. And I have no idea how idea how to get rid of it. I've been told that a wash and wax can kill it off. Any particular brands of wax, or even other ideas on how to fix it? Every input is appreciated. Thanks!

By the way, this is the large scratch. There's a smaller scratch next to it.

Run your finger through the scratch, is it deep enough that it took out the paint?

If it did you'll need to touch it up, scratch doctor might help but likely you'll need touch up paint.. If it didn't then I'd start with a light abrasive then go to a mild one after looking at the results.

Unfortunately, wax won't do much but cover up the scratch until it wears off or your next wash.. check out the detailing forums for more info.

dude, couldn't you wipe out the bird crap before taking the pic for all to see

I got a couple small chips (2mm wide) off the paint on a few spots. How much is it normally to get these things professionally fill in? Do they get matching paint from Lexus or do you get them a bottle?

It seems that the clear coat got scratched.
If you are hesitating on what products to use or how to do it, just take it to a good detail place and have them remove it for you. A good body shop will work as well. They may need to do the wet sand, polish treatment.
Touch up paint only works for minor specks or chips. Paint never matches 100% after factory paint.
Good luck

My detail guy filled scratches like this with clear. You may be able to have it buffed out, which is the optimum solution.

if it's not too deep, u can fix it by wet sanding + compound + polish

if it's very deep then may need to fill them with those kits
