Default Headlight swap

Hi all! New here and about to get my brand spankin' new 2012 IS250 today!

I opted to go for the package without the nav (after much deliberation), and the only thing I'm really bummed to miss out on is the LED headlights. The dealer told me I can add them in after market so I did some searching around. So far I've only found headlamps to upgrade a 2010 or older to the 2012 look. There have to be some out there to upgrade a 2012 that doesn't have them. Does anyone have experience with this/know where to find the headlamps? I read the great DIY thread posted here the other day (I think it was the other day) but the parts it linked to specified 2010 or older.

Bonus if anyone is in CA and has recommendations for a place to get it done.

Thanks! I can't wait to be driving my new IS...

And if you have 2012, installation would be easier coz you do not have to cut the headlight brackets to fit the new LED headlight, 2012 version of brackets should be direct bot on.

He has non LED headlights which means he has the older brackets that would need to be modified.

Is it possible to add 2012 OEM HID lights in place of 2010 OEM HID headlights without any other modification to the 2010 car ?

I recently did it to my as have many other member so yes it is possible. You'll just have some minor wiring to do and modify the bumper brackets that attach to the headlight so they can fit the 2012 lights.

Thanks mate. This is exactly what I told my dealership too and pointed them to our threads here on CL. I said people have fitted just 2012 OEM lights without any other modifications.

They said it will take 1 month and might void my warranty. I said no issues and told them to fit just the 2012 OEM lights somehow Still fingers crossed.

Need to call and talk to them tomorrow. If they say no, I will just ask them to give me the 2012 OEM lights and I will sit in their garage and do the wiring and bracket modifications myself .
