Default AC cabin lid fixed!!!

Finally fixed the ac cabin filter after 4 years! thanks to rcJten and his DIY

i just used a screw and tapped it in.

What kind of screw did you use? 8x18 1.5" ?

Looks more like a patch work instead of a fix. I believe the actual fix is to replace the broken pieces.

I guess that would differ for me because for me because I would go for perfection. Of course in my case, I never broken mine since I know how to change it properly.

Your perfectionism would cost you ~$700 for the new blower assembly. And the end result would be the same.

Yes end result is the same. I'm just saying (not literally) it like a patch workaround as to an actual replacement fix

Price, true. Alternatively if you go to a salvage yard, one can find one off a totaled IS for signficantly cheaper; similar saying to of the cracked NAV screen, instead of replacing the whole NAV unit, you find a salvaged screen and do it yourself fix.

nice job! an effective fix without putting a dent in your wallet.
