Default needing tires soon

Hi guys I know whaf your thinking, another tire thread. Yep it is. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Kumho Ecsta 4X KU22? My wife and I are on a budget due to just moving and a baby girl on the way so money is a issue and from what I've looked at this tire is the cheapest with a mileage warranty. ( she wants it) anyway, if anyone has any good or bad things to say let's read em. Oh and its going on 18s so keep that in mind.

look at the continental DWS extreme, those are always priced well and are wonderful tires with great performance. Looks like you are in Washington and get all 4 seasons, so this should be perfect for you.

With a wife and baby I'd consider spending a little more on the only part of your car that can improve braking distance and is the entire interface between vehicle and road.

If you insist on an all-season tire (which will be inferior to a winter tire in snow, and inferior to a summer tire in all conditions above 35 degrees- including braking distances up to 30-40% longer in snow and rain) then I agree with silva, the Conti DWS would be an excellent, affordable, choice and probably the best of the all-season bunch.

Ok I agree guys. I'm not seeing those with a mileage warranty though.

These Nexen CP 672's look great, especially for the price. 70,000 mile warranty. $110 per tire.

if you dont drive on the track pick up some off brand tires.
i had achilles atr sports that run under a 100 a piece and suprisingly they are pretty good. No wheel spin, traction is good in the rain, treadwear i believe is 400 which is real good and overall for teh money its great. You might loose a tiny bit of performance over oem but youll save half your money.
family is more important than tires
grab some good off brand tires.

Has anyone actually used the tire mileage warranty claim? I think it's something most people forget about or the tire manufacturer always comes back and claims you need to prove your alignment was documented and in check (which never happens).

when i had my civic, i actually got it from discount tire. went to their shop and bought it and bought their warranty. after 2 months Two out of the four had slices on them for some reason like someone was trying to slice my tires. SO they just replaced it for free gotta love warranty

I was referring to a tire's (free) manufacturer's mileage warranty that comes with the tire. People often buy based on these claims, but I've never heard anyone actually using it once their tires wear out, which they always do well before the 50-60k miles.

Personally, I'd stay away from Kumho; never had good luck with them.
