bought the car awhile ago but not sure if it has hid light or not, here is a pix hope this help and model is 07 is250 full options with navi and backup sensor.

Thnx for all the help guys, another weird thing was I just upgraded those stock bulbs for 8k bulbs but I could not tell the difference as far as the brightness. Should I go for 10k bulbs?

 

Hey pal, the 6k, 8k, 10k, etc is the rating of color not brightness. It's based off of the kelvin scale. In all honesty, the higher up in color rating you go, the LOWER the brightness of your bulbs. What you're looking for is lumens which rates the brightness.

With that being said, 4300k (stock color) will give you the highest brightness. You can switch to higher quality hid bulbs such as philips ultinon line as opposed to the stock xenco line.

But the major drawback of the 2IS headlight isn't the bulb but rather the projector design where it uses a poor quality fresnel lens and the bulbs go in at a 90 degree angle. These are inherent problems which cannot be solved by simply switching out the bulb. You can, however, solve the issue by retrofitting but that will require a bit of work, time and money.
