Looks good! Not sure about the tint thou since they don't allow front windows and with them tinted this dark, would makes it high profile to the cops to pull you over to give you a ticket.
For my USB, I put 40% (43% on the spec) to be conservative on my tint for me which is legal for WA (30% is the lowest film to go). I also took in consieration that since I drive to Vancouver, Canada, the front two window tints is not legal up there, but all the other windows can be any darkness similar to like CA; make it less high profile.
Canada's tint laws are enforced such that the cops have the authority to use a razor blade to slash/cut the illegal tints at their discretion. When that happeneds they have to come back within a week to the station to prove the illegal tint was removed or face a more serious fine besides the tint fine. I heard from friend that their friends got tickets and or tints slash by the tops; tried to avoid/explain to the cops why their window was down.. lol (oh why windows rolled down at night?? Even funnier when it was raining; the cops know this trick).
I did put a front windsheild tint but it's not noticable since it's 80%.
Tint!!

This is the first time I went this dark on my tint. I usually do 35 all the way around and had no troubles with the police. Knock on wood I am hoping that I will still not get harassed from the cops. I don't drive reckless and not doing burn outs so hopefully I'll be left alone

Yeah 35% should be fine, as long as the cops can see the driver/passenger through they don't really mind from what I heard. I personally did not have problems driving in Canada myself. Some of my friends in Canada tell me the cops will go for me because of the front windows, but I then I ask them about the other cars who have darker tint than me; wouldn't they be much more high profile?
I thought about the 35% but decided to go 40% (43 for Pinnacle 40). I may consider in the future dropping it back to 35% (38 for Pinnacle 35) even thou it's not significant to have the slight touch of darkness but not anytime soon.

A local shop will be doing tint on my car in about a month or so. I've got him lined up to do Johnson 30 Carbon all around. Is there anything I need to look out for? How do I know that it is indeed Johnson film he is using on the car?

Looking at the thread, I'm not sure who's comment is referring to who? Sounds like me, but on the other hand, seems like the OP?!????
