Modern vehicles are rust proofed from the factory. The metal is zinc coated i believe. The under-carriage is covered with undercoating and of course the body is painted.
Using any kind of rust proofing on a new vehicle is useless in my opinion. On a IS, you dont need it unless for some reason, the factory coating has been removed.
