Exclamation #Help! IS350 or G37

Alright guys, I have been with Club Lexus for about 3 years now and its time for a change.
I'm planning to trade my 06 base IS350 in for a used 08 fully loaded 08 G37s coupe.
I would like to get some feedback before i make this decision.
Pros and Cons would be most appreciated if you guys can throw it in with the response.

This isnt the most recent photos of the car but nothing much change beside eye lids on them and ppe headers.

To be honest G37 was the car I was 90% sure that I was going to get, but at the end a 4 door sports sedan suited my needs better. I still love the G37

I heard G37 has bumpy rides, my cousin has one.

Coupe or sedan? The coupe looks sick. I love both the G37 and ISx50. IMO its worth it to switch, change is nice.

Yah , if you've had your IS for 6 years already and feel like a change, I'd say go for the G37

My buddy Chris (Rush350) just sold his IS350 for a G37S. He said he wanted it more for the twisties and the sports car feel. I'll hit him up to comment on here.

What I can speak to is when I was shopping for my car in 2007 the final two candidates were an IS350 or a G35S (sedan, sport package).

At the time things broke down like this:

Lexus Pros:
Nicer interior
Nicer upgraded sound system
Vented seats
Slightly better performance
Better reliability
Better resale

G35 pros:
More rear seating space
larger trunk
Generation-newer nav system for 1/3 the cost
radar cruise was also about 1/3 the cost of the lexus option

In the end I went with the Lexus, cause all the pros more than outweighed the G35 pros (and I skipped nav in my order).

The G37 is actually slower than the G35 as I understand it (slightly more hp, but more extra weight too)... and the interior, while nicer than the 35, still isn't to Lexus standard.... so I doubt my decision would've changed if I'd waited a year.

I was in the same position when shopping for a car just a few months ago. I really liked the G37, but the main reason I went with the 350 was I felt it was the best of both worlds. Plus, with a growing family it was much easier to justify a 4 door over a coupe..........and a 0% lease rate ain't bad either! lol.

I too was down to the 350C or the 37C I went with the 350C as I think when the Gs get a few years on them they just don't seem to look as nice in the finish area. I'm sticking with Lexus.

I'd stay Lexus over the Infinity.

I was in the same situation when i was buying my car in june. i ended with choose my 11 IS350 F-Sport because I like the exterior, interior, and performance better than the G's. If you are looking for a more sportier feel, then get an M3

There really isn't anything that is more appealing in the G37 compared to the IS350.

I would rather get the new generation 335 or wait until the next generation of G series come out. The current G series has been out since 2006.

Another "I just made the same decision" comment. I made mine in Nov for the IS350. I liked the transmission in the G37 (rev matching), and the sound is way better than the Lexus. I had wanted a G Coupe since 2006 when I saw one in a showroom. I really thought that I would buy one first chance I got. I still like the looks, but I don't think itt has aged well, and is in need of a pretty major refresh, I think the Lexus needs a refresh, too, but it has aged better, in my humble opinion.

I like the fit and finish on the IS better, and the interior is far better in terms of materials and design, in my opinion, In my mind, it was a toss up. What pushed me to the lexus, was when the OWNER of the infiniti store (a former Lexus store GM) told me that he thought the paint on the Lexus is actually better than the Infiniti paint.

All things considered. I think the cars are about as even as they can be, leaving it up to personal preference and emotion. I don't think you would be going wrong, either way.
