I just bought an 08 IS250 last month and it had 1 week of the factory warranty left. I took it to the dealer to have a door handle and vanity lights to be fixed. Service adviser saw a chip in my dash and said he would replace it for free, he was doing me a favor but pretty much he said there was a lot of complaints about it melting or deteriorating so he had it replaced for me. Might want to bring it up to Lexus?

Was the dashboard improved/ updated in later model years models for the IS?
What about the door panels?
My dashboard and door panels don’t look too good, but I do not want to replace them if they will look the same after some time.

There was a TSB from Lexus saying they updated them, but I don't know what they did.

110 degree Vegas heat sucks for the dash.... wonder if my 2010 still has factory warranty.

I assume they did. I have a very late build of 2008 and even in AZ my dash and panels are fine -- looks brand new.

Anyone knows whats the difference between these two?

55400-53906-C0 about 300 + shipping ca 100

55400-53909-C0 more expensive

As far as I understand all dashes fit all years
The car that needs a new dash is 2007
