08' 350 bumper conversion to F-Sport?
My 350 received a small boo boo tonight from it love tapping a Yukon's ball hitch at 5 mph. As you figured, the Yukon was spotless, however my 350 will more than likely need a new front bumper, grille, and hood. I can't stand to see my car tore up so I already have an appointment with an adjuster tomorrow in hopes to get it to Lexus on Monday. I'm wondering if the insurance adjuster doesn't tack it on to the payout, how much will I pay out of pocket to have the 09' F-Sport bumper put on. I know it will need new fogs as wells. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A piece of tire hit me on the freeway and messed up my front bumper. Insurance paid me for a brand new bumper, absorber foam, lower grill, complete upper grill, driver foglight, and misc other things not related to the front bumper. Once I got the check, I used that money to buy 2011 front bumper parts. Since insurance paid full list price for my replacement items, I had enough money left over to buy the missing parts needed to complete the conversion due to the huge discount through a friend that works at a dealer. Did the work myself so I pocketed the labor insurance paid as well.
If you can get the parts much cheaper from like Sewell, the difference saved may help pay for the extra parts needed.

depends on your insurance carrier. Geico wanted to source used parts because my car was an 06. I'd check with your insurance. What I did was take the used cost check that they cut, which was really not too crazy of a check, I then went to sewell ordered my stuff painted
and then had it shipped and installed, came out of pocket for that

Have you body shop get the max they can from them. I remember on my 250 some one did a hit a run. Wasn't bad but they cut me a 1200-500 deduct= 700. told my shop guy that was enough so he got them to cut an 1700-500=1200. Cause to paint my whole passenger was $1700 damage. By the do you mean 11-12 fsport bumper? I don't remember 09 having fsport?

My buddie was involved in a hit and run and needed a new rear bumper on his e93 335i.
His insurance covered the cost of a new oem bumper with paint and labor cost included. All he did was talk to the shop owner and topped off an extra half grade and got the m-tech bumper installed for him to replace the OEM rear bumper!

hey guy, I recently just got curb checked BAD and destroyed my 2010 IS350's front lip and the bumper is a lil damaged along with passenger side fog light...
I wanted to do the same as MrBBQ, f-sport bumper... (and see if insurance will cover some cost) any tips or advice?
http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2010/4539.html this is the part im going to order, painted in my 077 starfire pearl is like $1566 + shipping... (ClubLexus discount)
this thing fits on the 2010 no problem? do you know if there are any other parts I will need? and how difficult is the install? (i have a friend with a shop and we did buncha upgrades ourselves including springs, lip kits, exhaust, etc)

I see you have a 2008. If you upgrade to a 2009 plus f-sport bumper you will have a limited # of bodykitss to buy and there more EXPENSIVE then the 2006-2008 years.
Plus you will need new fogs like you said. Also, you will need new front grille lower and upper.
But, that totally up to you.

What was the "hangup" with the lights? Was any extra hardware needed to use the original splashgaurds, etc? Will this bumper work with my '08 headlights for now until I can afford new headlights as well?
