Default Hid Issue.. (pics)

Hey guys, I have an 09 250. I recently bought an HID kit for my fogs, from HIDEXTRA. I am having these issues with the HID's...

When i originally bought them they ran fine for about 2-3 weeks, no problem perfect. After that I noticed one day that one of the lights went out on the right side. At the moment I was very disappointed and went inside the house. The next day when I turned em on, both came on perfect. A week later same thing happened... and well now its gotten to the point where when Im driving the right side goes out, and when i turn off my fogs for a minute and turn them back on they come on and then go out again. A similar problem just now arose with my dads 2009 Toyota Sequoia, except this problem happend in his right Low Beams. Is there a solution to this? Whats the problem? Really need help guys... Thanks
Also... i called into HID extra and they dont have very good customer service...

i've ordered several sets from HIDEXTRA.... in my opinion... they have good customer service. You just have to contact them via email and submit warranty exchange with picture of the bad part clipped and destroyed.

they products are so so... but the two times i had defected parts, they shipped me the replacements promptly.

try emailing their customer service.

follow this link...

Also, they require you to do the trouble shooting... so you will have to swap the parts around to determine if bad bulbs or ballast.

As for me, i have had defect slim matte black ballast and defect D2C bulb.

I'm having a problem with my HIDEXTRA kit too. Right from the get-go, one of the bulbs would not light up

I'm thinking about just getting a whole new kit. I don't want to redo the installation a couple of months of now because the other side goes bad too.

As much as ppl hate on DDM tuning (Including myself) I've been running a set of their ballast matted to garax bulbs for almost a year with no problems.

Sounds like your ballast might be bad. Remember that water easily gets in there so make sure to tape up most of the ballast connections.

I ran DDM Tuning kits in my old car for a couple years at least.

They maybe cheap, but they never failed on me and had a pretty good color to them too.
Might have to go back to them now!

granted i'm loving the color of the 6000k bulbs i just got, but after 2 days one bulb is flickering upon start up n going out. After asking them for a replacement, they said they can't send me one until i return the defective one, and they wont even accept a deposit to ship a replacement bulb. Basically you have a buy a new set and return the defective one, which is pretty crappy customer service IMO

GL with this. I decided to go with LED's just because they seem to last forever. Not as bright but oh well.

I've had ZERO issues with my HIDExtra 3k fog HID kit. I did upgrade and got the wiring harness though; any of you with issues have the wiring harness that routes the power from the battery directly.
