I've been a big Lexus enthusiast since I bought my first Lexus (IS250 President) in 2010. Before that Lexus I got a Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 Kompressor, but what made me choose the IS over the SLK was the smooth engine and the high comfort.
Some friends told me that for what a full loaded IS 250 costs (€55.000, President package) they would either go for a 325i or 330i, but to me, sportiness is not the first thing I take into account. I would rather go for a high reliability, great customer care and high comfort. Lexus isn't really well-known here in Europe, and even less in Spain since most Spaniards would choose Audi, BMW or Mercedes-Benz but all current Lexus owners I've known, they were once an Audi, BMW or Mercedes-Benz owner who just switched to Lexus and never looked back
. Also, Lexus has an aging problem here as well, most people think Lexus is just for old people... I don't know if it's either the entry-price (before the CT the basic IS220d was around €33.000-34.000) or it's just that they were just old-fashioned cars. When I first bough my car I was 19 years-old and currently I'm 20 years-old and I still fall in love when I see my car

Viva Lexus! I bought for the same reasons, reliability and low cost maintenance here in USA. Europeans expensive to maintain.
