Default Custom headliner??

Anyone know about how much it would cost to just get a black suede, microfiber, alcantara, whatever is the cheapest suede type material headliner and pillars? I just want my headliner to be black and look like suede, not worried about quality of the fabric. Seems like it shouldnt cost much since our cars are so damn small and its not that hard for pros to swap a small headliner. Thanks for any info or help in advance.

My real suede headliner, pillars and door inserts cost me $800. I had the headliner removed by my stereo shop, which was a Pita!

How hard is it to remove the headliner on these cars? You don't need to take the windshield out do you?

I'd love to do a plaid headliner (subtle, though).

You can get fake suede for about $10-$20/yard. 3 yards will cover the headliner. Real suede can be up around $50/yard

PICS please! I wonder how much the OEm costs? I seen a few custom shops in SFV that do interiors for muscle cars, lowriders, 300c, escalades, charger type cars. Going to find out next week how much they can do it for.

to take out the headliner you need to remove all 6 pillar mounts
the dome light housing as well as the light housing directly above the shifer
then the rear light assy as well
then the headliner comes off with some clips...
the most challenging part is getting it in and out in one piece...

here's some pics of my LS while doing the headliner...

the rear pillars were still on but i replaced them after taking this pic... it's easy to take the headliner out when it's in place but putting it back you will need it to be out for easier installation

Yeah dropping the headliner is the easy part, taking it in and out of the car is much harder, lol.

Click on the Staystetti link at the bottom of my sig and you can see the real red suede interior. Not completely done yet. I wouldn't do OEM cause it probably costs more and custom is better in my eyes.
