Default 08 IS250 - Door Locks

Hi, I own a 2008 IS250 AWD and seem to be having some issues with my lock on the driver door. Its a very peculiar issue. I can see the actuator trying to push the lock closed and open but it doesnt "fully" lock/unlock (gets stuck halfway). The odd part is, if I use my hand to push lock to the full lock/unlock position and then use the automatic lock button, it starts working again. Seems to occur after sitting overnight, etc. Anyone have a similar experience? My thinking is that its cold here in the northeast and is sticky after sitting a long time. Please advise. Thanks.

In the summer time you probably wouldn't have an issue. My personal car (s13 coupe) sticks on the driver side as well just in general. Don't wear the key out, but try a little lube on the lock and keep working it for a little. That's a potential cheap fix for you.

I was confused when you said playing with the lock with your hand. Same idea if it's not flowing well. Hit the button while you do it.
