Id say it's a huge upgrade. A lot more "grown up". The IS is classy. Something that cant be said about the evo.

By any chance anyone know which window visors to get? I don't want the one that sticks to the side door with 3m tape. I was looking at WeatherTech, but not sure what else people run.
Are you talking about this?

Congrats!
I just sold my Black 96 Honda Prelude Si replaced by IS250 AWD few days ago.
Since it was my first car after college I had so much history with my lude and loved it every moment driving it.
Now having 2 kids, my wife insisted me to get BMW, then I got IS250 instead after intense research and endless test driving.
I couldn't be happier driving experience of IS.
And it's so good to be a member of this cludlexus forum.
Such a great community with great fellows!

Welcome and enjoy. I also just upgraded from a 96 Accord EXV6 to my 2012 IS350C. I've had it now for 3 1/2 weeks and love it. Just wish the fog and cold would go away so I can drop the top more often.

You have great taste! I don't know if I'd give up and Evo for an IS though haha. Great to hear you're happy with the car.

@nmpeter, thanks man. Believe me it was one of the hardest choice. But after today commute to work and back, I am very satisfied with my driving condition. At least someone else can enjoy the beauty of the 4g63 motor like i did. I just hope it won;t end up in a wreck yard. Your IS looks AMAZING beautiful wheel choice! I will join the Volk side in about a year lol....i hope.

Ill350, I do miss it! but i can live with comfort

Hello to my 2012 Obsidian Black Lexus IS250 F SPORT. This is my first brand new car I have ever bought. So far i have been very pleased with the 100+ miles i have put on . Yes, it may not be as fast as my Evo but it sure is comfortable. 200+ hp on this sexy thing is more than enough for my daily use. Love every single parts inside and out on the IS250, i cannot complain about it. Overall I am super excited
Well congrats but I believe you won't be keeping this car for long. You will likely be trading up in no time. Trust me I made the same move a few years ago.

I had an Electric Blue Evo VIII with the Sun, Sound, and Leather Package, AMS reflash, full turboback exhaust, etc. I traded it in for a brand new 2008 IS250 awd and to this day I regret the decision. Not with buying a Lexus but with buying an IS250. The first few months were great and I loved the luxury but then the power just really started to get to me. I realized that the IS250 was the slowest and least powerful car I have ever owned, even after the cars I owned in highschool. Within a year of buying the car new I traded it in for a used IS350 with only 8500 miles. I just regret that I didn't buy the IS350 first because i'm very happy with it and plan to keep the car until it's no longer running.
