Default Import Face Off

I went to the Import Face Off event and took my car on the track. I got four runs in. Fastest time was 14.02, at 102 mph. I'll post the time slips later. I disabled VSC on the first run, went full throttle too fast and lost traction, got 14.74. I lowered the rear tires to 28 psi from 32, tried again, and got 14.2, again with VSC disabled. On the third run, I left VSC on, revved to maybe 1,000 and got 14.2. I got 14.02 on the last run, with VSC off. I gradually got to full throttle and didn't lose grip. I think I could have broken 13 if I had another chance. Next time.

Did you not warm up the tires befor the runs? To be honest with you, those are some slow times.

Ya, I expected better but first time, so I'm not too disappointed. And no, I didn't warm up the tires.

Should break the 13s easy. 13.4 was my best with 19s on. Warming up your tires is wasting tire tread unless there drag tires. Also make sure you hit the drag with an close to empty tank of gas.

you'll also wanna drive around the water box if possible when using street tires... if not doing a burnout (like you would with drag tires) getting the tires wet before launch won't be any help

THIS...and I'd recomend also kicking off the dust and marbles by rumping on it once really good between the water box and the line. Just enough to spin a litle and hopefully remove any debris picked up from the staging lanes and from avoiding the water.

keep the rpm around 700 to 800 should be ideal... anything higher will get spin wheels of the line

I am still looking forward to taking my baby to the track one day, however I would never go with anything but the stock wheels or something lighter.

Also leaving the car in D with trac/vsc OFF is always your best launch.

Isn't the drag strip addicting?
