Default 2006 vs 2009 vs 2011 interior differences?

Tried to do a search and couldnt find anything.

Can someone post a pic and verify the difference between the 2006-2008 and 2009+ and possibly the new 2011? 7 piece console section? I know the drivers side window/mirror control plate is slightly changed. Anything else?

Trying to get a side by side picture to see the exact differences.

Thanks in advance.

top of my head
09 up have stitching on the trims, chrome around the nav screen, different button to operate the moonroof.
09 and 11 are pretty much the same from what i can remember, just different console color piece.

Jonny,

I know that 06 vs 07 had different gas/trunk releases.

Also, as you said, 06 vs 09 had different window switches and overhead dome light/moonroof switches

I saw a 2011 vert on ebay, and was actually kinda surprised that they did some changes from my 2010

The top up/down switch is a little different, and there's now a button to the right of it that lets you lower all the windows at once.

Also, the gauges had aluminum rings around the speedo and tach.

(here's pics of a 2011 f-sport vert, pics courtesy of ebay/wilde jaguar)

Are you sure those are 2011 pics? The cluster pic I would say yes, but the two above are not since my 2011 does not look like that.

Here map overhead switch from F-Sport. My friends which is 2011 Canadian model with moonroof pacakge map overhead different than mine as it is missing things probably because it is not fully loaded.

The Rear view mirror is also different along with the vents above the nav, and whole nav console itself has some extra trim accents

The SOS Safety Connect is a USA-only thing, so Canadian/Overseas models won't have it.

Those are all pics of the 2011, the side piece is different because it's a convertible, and the door panel looks different because it has the woodgrain.

The 09+ also doesn't have the track and temp up buttons that poke you when you push them.

2012 has blue/red temperature up/down buttons. Not 100% sure I like them during the day, but at night, it looks cool.

I have for a long time thought about changing mine to blue/red LED instead of green, who knows, maybe I'll do it one day.

I am shocked to read and learn about all the minor interior changes to the IS. All this time I thought they were the exact same

Its like that with every car really. first two models are usually the same just subtle adjustments to anything inferior the first model would have then the third model will start having slight changes in the interior, after that they start making different housings in the headlights or taillights or bumpers then usually the last model of its kind will get a new front bumper, rear bumper, and they'll introduce a new color for that year add little features previous models didnt have etc.... all for the purpose of making owners of previous models jealous and want to trade in their cars for newer models or buy their parts. and thats how the big guys make money
