our stock pipe is smaller than 2.5. Those will not work unless you cut out the resonater or secondary cats and weld it in its place. You need the Low Profile ones if you want it to work with OEM midpipe and not have to do any fabrication.

I used QTP low profile ecutouts and have not had a problem yet.

Yeh, those will probably not work.

My research showed the 2is piping is generally 2.25, however, some resources indicated a 2.5"

So I played it safe by buying the step-design y-pipe, where the majority of the pipe was 2.5" wherewas the lips on the two ends reduced to 2.25. See my first post for pix.

Anyone seen any vid/sound clips of a e-cutout on a 350? Curious to see how different the exhaust note changes.

I really do enjoy the quietness of the stock exhaust, but there's another 350 in my building with the f-sport exhaust that sounds great. I don't know if I want the added dBs ALL the time on my daily commute, but if I could turn flip a switch and have a deeper/louder tone only when I wanted it, that would be perfect.

x2! This is the appeal of a cutout to me, I want Lexus quiet when I'm tired & just want to get somewhere or flip the switch & feel like a younger me again. Although its not going to have just a deeper/louder tone, it is gonna be fawking loud loool & would not sound anything close to an F-Sport exhaust, any exhaust for that matter (unless you're running a straight pipe on a Lexus).
