Default Led..?

Hi everyone,

For a 2010, does anyone know what kind of puddle light blue LED (on outside rear view mirror) and trunk blue LED, and footwell blue LED I should get? I was only able to find white, and/or size does not fit..

Any help would be greatly appreciated... THANKS!

Yeah, I already saw that But I have the these blue LED and they are too big to fit in trunk

Also, footwell light was not in that thread :/

Would the puddle light in that thread still work for 2010?

^ These blue LEDs were too big to fit in your trunk slot? I test fitted them myself and it definitely fits - you just have to pull the metal tab back a bit. Another good opton is the LED boards Nigel (fourm vendor) sells.

Yes, the puddle light works. Some mentioned it being a tight fit, so you might have to grind down the edge of the circuit board a bit. Small price to pay for the brightest puddle lights I know that exist.

As for the footwell, it's a custom job. Any strip will work. Oznium, V-LEDs, etc. sell them.

The thing is bending the tabs is probably something one would not prefer to do. I tried it but the light ended up being crooked and after a few on and off times, the LED bulb would eventually come out out of the hole hinge secure it because it is too thick to be secure enough in the hole. The bulb itself itself is long by about 3-4 mm / 1/8th" compared to stock.

I have returned the LED and going with the adapter board solution.

^ I didn't say bend the tabs, I said pull them. You don't have to make any permanent modifications, unless the design has changed. You're right about the LED being crooked though, which is why I prefer boards in this one case. BTW, that stock trunk festoon is ~27mm, and 29mm is the biggest size that will fit (with pulling).

I tried the pulling method but was not able to clear the length of the bulb I had unless I went to more of bending force. I did bend eventually bend it but however I bent it just enough such that where it bends is like 90 degrees compared to I took the stock bulb the bend was more than 90 which helped a bit.

Stock, about 27-28mm to what I measured and the same with the other Festoon bulbs like the rear dome.

In any case, I would go with the board solution.

Gotcha, it is indeed a tight fit. (TWSS)

A note to those reading this, you can easily fit a 31mm festoon bulb in the rear dome area because of the design (seen below). This does not apply to the trunk light, which essentially uses a clamp to hold the festoon in place by the ends, so if the bulb is too long it's a problem (seen below).

I got me my LED's the other day. All blue too. Dome, courtesy, and puddle. Got the Dome and courtesy from PrecisionLED and the Puddle from VLED. You can add the trunk LED from Precision too, but I didnt get that. The VLED Puddle light was little too long, so I had to shave plastic off the light housing for it to fit.

Heres the links.

It's basically an LED panel which you put on the light. Auto Design is going to send me that with the adapter since I ran into the festoon issue.

The board solution, have a look at brocious's last post and the bottom picture. You can see the festoon adapter with a board just below it.

For my dome, I used Auto Design's D31 6-SMD.

The V-LED puddle light is still probably your best bet.

I recommend the 12 LED board from Nigel (a forum vendor) for your trunk: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...-exterior.html

To make it work, you just get the festoon adapter and cut the center plastic part down to size (very easy).

Okay, so
For Trunk (Nigel):
http://www.nigel-jdmparts.com/LED-Bu...k-Puddle-Light
Get the SMD12 (does this come with festoon adapter?)

How about these that were previously mentioned for trunk (VLED):
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...94213-1-2.html

In summary, it sounded like the Nigel with adaptor is the easiest/not crooked?

Lastly, blue LED puddle light blue there's only 6 LED (they do not have the 4 as in white):
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...53721-1-3.html

Would these puddle LEDs fit?

Thanks so much for your help ...
