Default Spoiler Question

I have seen the rear lip spoilers like the OEM and F-Sport ones but I was wondering if there was any other kind of spoilers that would look nice on an IS 350. Something more raised perhaps. Something similar or along the lines of this

Just curious. Thanks for you input!

I don't think one similar to that pic of the Corolla would look good on our IS. The ones that simply lay on the trunk like the OEM/F-Sport look best. There's also the Wald and Vertex spoilers if you want something different, but neither are raised like that.

The IS-F spoiler is the F-sport spoiler.

The Wald spoiler fits 06-present. However installing takes work, it takes time and a good job for it to sit as flush as possible and we're not talking about just screws.

Glue, adhesive contents. I heard from my friend that it takes a lot to minimize the gap.

I always suggest glue. It doesn't get heated and wet like tape. Also prevents from being stolen. Wald isn't cheap though. I have it on my car. The pic you posted is more along the lines of a universal style spoiler.

Here is a picture of my authentic Wald spoiler molded to the car with rear quarter panels raised to be flush with it.

I don't think any kind of raised spoiler would look right on an IS. To me a simple lip spoiler looks best, gives it a sporty look without being over done. I just don't like the look of big spoilers. I just installed a eBay replica OEM spoiler today, turned out nice. The paint was spot on.

Seller was advanation here's a link to the one I bought.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/400171541237...84.m1439.l2649

The paint and fit were perfect, looks just like OEM. I was worried about it before ordering, but it turned out great, I paid $106.00 including shipping. I'm glad I got it it, I hated the non spoiler look.

I had my body shop always do my spoiler/body kit fitment.

She means sometimes work on the spoiler needs to be done to make it fit flush on the car.

not to hijack--but I looked at an ebay spoiler....my concern is not the paint matching, but the long term durability of that vs an OEM one from Sewell.

Now that you have it, any concerns about peeling? anyone else have thoughts? Clearly this is about half price of the OEM....
